Carla Esparza had her moments on the feet, but it was timely takedowns and top control which allowed her to win a decision over previously undefeated Virna Jandiroba. Esparza closed -120 while Jandiroba closed +101
Gilbert Burns went back to his bread and butter as he was able to control the back of Mike Davis in the second round and submit him on the mat. Burns closed -244 with the return on Davis +201
Jim Miller secured a double leg takedown in the first round and was able to find his way to Jason Gonzalez’ back. Once he took back control, it was only a matter of time until Miller secured a rear naked choke and earn his nineteenth UFC victory. Miller closed -127. Gonzalez closed +103
Angela Hill dominated the striking exchanges landing both kicks and punches on the counter to win a decision over Jodie Esquibel. Hill closed -556 while Esquibel closed +430
Underdogs that Won
Jack Hermansson put in a complete performance as he beat Jacare Souza by a dominant decision to enter into middleweight title contention. Hermansson closed +200 with the return on Souza -250
Mike Perry took over in the second round and battered Alex Oliveira around the cage to win a 29-28 decision across the board. Perry closed +140 while Oliveira closed -164
In one of the best fights of the year, Cory Sandhagen was able to edge John Lineker in a high volume, action packed affair for the biggest win of his career. Sandhagen closed +126 while Lineker closed -145
Dhiego Lima moved well throughout the fight and landed his left hook with regularity in all three rounds to take a split decision over Court McGee. Lima closed +130 while McGee closed -147
