Here’s a betting recap for Bellator 113 based on the closing results at Several Bookmakers: Bellator 113 Favorites That Won In the main event of the evening, Emanuel Newton defeated Attila Vegh via split decision (47-48, 48-47, 49-46) to unify the Bellator light heavyweight championship. Newton threw more overall strikes and was the busier fighter throughout and deserved to get the nod. The champ cashed out at -240 (bet $240 to win $100), while Vegh lost at +220 (bet $100 to win $220). In a lightweight quarterfinal, Marcin Held defeated Rodrigo Cavalheiro via first-round submission (toe hold). Although Cavalheiro was able to connect on Held’s skull early on in the fight, Held quickly scored a takedown and from there it was only time until he locked in one of his impressive lower-limb submissions for the win. Held cashed at -380, while Cavalheiro lost at +340. In a lightweight quarterfinal, Derek Campos beat down Tim Welch over the course of three rounds to pick up a unanimous decision win (30-27 x 3). Campos showed solid striking and wrestling throughout the contest but Welch proved to be extremely tough to put away and Campos had to settle for a decision victory. Campos cashed at -320, while Welch lost at +290. And in another lightweight quarterfinal, Derek Anderson defeated Brandon Girtz via second-round KO (knee) in one of the highlights of the show. After a close first round, early in the second Girtz went in for a takedown while throwing an overhand right and got caught with a knee straight to the jaw which knocked him out cold. A stellar performance by Anderson, who cashed as a -185 fav. Girtz, meanwhile, disappointed as a +170 dog. Bellator 113 Underdogs That Won In the co-main event of the evening, Patricky Pitbull defeated David Rickels via second-round KO (punches). Although the first round was very competitive and most thought Rickels took it, he came out soft in round two and was caught with vicious punches by Pitbull that put him out cold. Pitbull scored as a +215 dog, while Rickels lost as a -235 fav.
