UFC 168 ‘Knockout of the Night’ Betting Props

hallUFC 168 ‘Knockout of the Night’ Betting Props UFC 168 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, N.V. has a fight card with 11 scheduled bouts, including a five-fight main card that is sure to produce fireworks, and possibly a number of knockouts. After the fights have concluded, the UFC will be awarding a $50,000 ‘Knockout of the Night’ bonus for the most exciting knockout of the evening. To place a wager on this prop, or any others for UFC 168, you may do so at Several Bookmakerss. I believe the top condenders for this prize are: Anderson Silva +300 — Three-to-one dog odds for the greatest knockout artist in MMA history. This is a bet I cannot blame anybody for making, especially those who believe Silva will be the victor, as a knockout may be his best route to victory. Silva already owns seven ‘Knockout of the Night’ awards, which is a UFC record. Chris Weidman +900 — This is getting great value on a result that already happened and could happen again, especially considering that A) Weidman has power, and B) Silva is up there in age, and was just knocked out cold. By the same opponent! That said, I personally don’t think the rematch will result in Silva getting knocked out again, but if you’re very confident in Weidman, I don’t see how you could pass this prop up. Travis Browne +600 — If you are backing “Hapa” in this match-up, then this is probably the best bet you could make, as I believe a knockout is his most likely route to victory. I don’t see him getting a submission or winning a decision over Barnett. I don’t think he will score a knockout, either, but do think it is possible he could get lucky and land something. If Browne should score a knockout, as long as there’s no knockout in the main event, I think he will take home the prize. Browne has already earned three ‘Knockout of the Night’ awards in his time inside the Octagon. Urijah Hall +750 — Hall showed a lot of promise as a knockout artist in his time on The Ultimate Fighter reality series, but since the television program concluded and he began competing inside the Octagon, live in front of millions of people, his passion to finish fights has dwindled. He was awarded ‘Knockout of the Season’ on the show, but has since dropped two split-decisions to Kelvin Gastelum and John Howard respectively. Now, with his back against the wall in a “loser goes home” fight, Hall knows what is at stake and what is expected to him. Will he deliver? I’m not sure, but there’s a decent chance he does, considering the stylistic match-up with Leben. If he wants to, I think he can knock Leben out, and he may very well try to make a statement by doing so. If he does indeed score the knockout, I think he will have a very good chance at taking home the bonus. At +750, I most definitely think it’s worth a bet, especially if you are confident that Hall will win this fight. Gabe’s KOTN Play: Urijah Hall (+750) .5u to win 3.75u
