MMA Odds and Ends for Monday: Five Crazy TUF 18 Finale Prop Bets That Cashed

Nate Diaz At every UFC event, there’s always a number of prop bets listed at Several Bookmakers to bet on, and every event a number of them cash. For the TUF 18 Finale, there were five big prop bets that hit that I want to tell you about. Here they are: Nate Diaz wins in round one (+475) In the main event of the evening, Nate Diaz defeated Gray Maynard via first-round TKO. The prop on Diaz to win in the first was a massive +475 payout, so good job if you nailed that one, as I personally thought the fight would go a little bit longer. Nate Diaz wins by TKO (+615) As well, Diaz via TKO cashed out at a massive +615. Looking back, I feel silly for not jumping on this one given Maynard’s declining chin, but then again it was Diaz’ first TKO win in years. Jared Rosholt wins by decision (+300) In a heavyweight bout, Jared Rosholt defeated Walt Harris via unanimous decision. Rosholt survived and early scare after he was knocked down by the faster Harris, but he showed good grit and heart in making it to the second and third rounds, where he started to pick up the pace and eventually win both the rounds with better striking and wrestling for a unanimous decision win, which cashed out as a +300 prop. Josh Sampo wins inside the distance (+249) In a flyweight bout, Josh Sampo defeated Ryan Benoit via submission in the second round. Sampo was the favorite going into the fight, but after he missed weight many people thought that Benoit would win a war of attrition. That didn’t prove to be the case thought as Sampo showed better cardio and grappling prowess to win in the second round. The prop on Sampo inside the distance, by the way, cashed at +249. Ryan Benoit vs. Josh Sampo wins FOTN (+900) The Benoit vs. Sampo bout was genuinely exciting and proved to earn the Fight of the Night award at the post-fight press conference. However, Sampo was stripped of the bonus because he missed weight and Benoit actually ended up earning the full 100k. The prop for this fight to win FOTN cashed at +900, so congrats if you hit that one, or if you tailed our own Gabe Killian, who recommended that bet on this site.
