Overall from a betting perspective, nine favorites won while three underdogs cashed out. Aldo was a gigantic -875 betting favorite (bet $875 to win $100), while Jung was a +685 dog (bet $100 to win $685). In a middleweight bout, Cezar Ferreira beat Thiago Santos via first-round sub to win his first fight in over a year. Ferreira was -460, while Santos was +410. In another middleweight bout, Thales Leites beat Tom Watson via decision in his return to the UFC. Leites was -160, while Watson was +150. In a flyweight bout, John Lineker defeated Jose Tome via TKO to cash at -400, while Tome lost at +355. In the only women’s fight on the card, Amanda Nunes beat Sheila Gaff via first-round TKO. Nunes scored at -195, while Gaff was +180. In another FX match, Sergio Moraes defeated Neil Magny with a sweet submission to cash out as a -161 favorite. Magny lost at +151. In the opening FX bout, Ian McCall defeated Iliarde Santos via decision to score as a -455 fav, while Santos lost as a +405 dog. In the final Facebook match, Rani Yahya defeated Josh Clopton via decision to cash out as a -1000 favorite, while the +800 Clopton never had a chance. In the opening Facebook bout, Viscardi Andrade KOed Bristol Marunde in the first round. Andrade was -192, while Marunde was +177. UFC 163 Betting Underdogs That Won In the co-main event, Phil Davis won an extremely controversial decision over Lyoto Machida that nearly started a riot at HSBC Arena. Most believed Machida won at least two, if not three, rounds with more effective striking but Davis’ late takedowns earned him the nod in the judges’ eyes. Davis was +295, while Machida closed at -325. In the main event of the FX prelims, Anthony Perosh KOed Vinny Magalhaes in 14 seconds in the most shocking upset on the whole card. The 40-year old Perosh cashed out at +435, while Magalhaes fell as a -500 favorite. In one of the Facebook prelims, Francimar Barroso defeated Ednaldo Oliveira via unanimous decision. Barroso was a +110 dog while Oliveira was a small -120 favorite.
