Five Props That Cashed Big at UFC Fight Island 2

Five Props is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here are five UFC Fight Island 2 bets that cashed big based on the closing odds from across various sportsbooks.

1) Joel Alvarez wins in Round One (+1100)

Joel Alvarez is a great submission artist, but he didn’t have any easy way to take Joe Duffy to the canvas to work his magic. After being beat up a bit on the feet by Duffy, Alvarez was gift-wrapped a first round victory when Duffy shot neck-first into a guillotine choke. Alvarez wins in round one was the prop of the night at +1100.

2) Ariane Lipski by Submission (+1000)

Nicknamed “The Violence Queen,” Ariane Lipski was mostly known for finishing her opponents by knockout or TKO, but she put away Luane Carolina with a vicious kneebar in the first round of their bout Saturday. Lipski’s submission was good for a sweet +1000.

3) Deiveson Figueiredo by Submission (+900)

Deiveson Figueiredo defeating Joseph Benavidez in their rematch wasn’t a huge surprise, but him submitting Benavidez for the first time in his career was a bit of a shocker. Figueiredo dropped Benavidez three times before choking him unconscious late in the first round. Figueiredo by submission closed at a cool +900.

4) Jack Hermansson by Submission (+600)

It’s not like Jack Hermansson hadn’t submitted people before. In fact, his last two finishes had both been first round submissions in 2018 and 2019, so it shouldn’t have come as a huge surprise when he tapped out Kelvin Gastelum with a nasty heel hook in the first round of their match-up. Hermansson by submission paid +600.

5) Brett Johns by Decision (+450)

Brett Johns wasn’t expected to be able to get inside Montel Jackson’s range, and he didn’t early, but Johns was able to take Jackson down in rounds two and three, outgrappling his opponent to win a decision as the biggest underdog winner of the night. Johns by decision closed at +450.

A $100 parlay on these five props would have made you a millionaire with $5,081,900.
