Five Props is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here are five UFC on ESPN 12 bets that cashed big based on the closing odds from across various sportsbooks.
1) Julian Erosa wins in Round Three (+2800)
After going 0-4 in his last four UFC bouts, no one was giving Julian Erosa a chance against undefeated prospect Sean Woodson, but Erosa held his own, then latched on a D’Arce choke in the third round to pull off the biggest upset of the night. Erosa wins in round three was the prop of the night at +2800.
2) Khama Worthy by Submission (+2750)
For the second time in a row, Khama Worthy was a big underdog, and for the second time in a row, he pulled off the upset, shocking Luis Pena with a guillotine choke. Worthy’s submission was good for a sweet +2750.
3) Tanner Boser wins in Round One (+1100)
Tanner Boser had a reputation as a decision fighter, but he made quick work of the Brazilian “Monstro” Philipe Lins, landing a heavy overhand right and following up with enough shots to knock Lins out cold halfway through the first round. Boser wins in round one closed at a cool +1100.
4) Maurice Greene by Submission (+1000)
Maurice Greene was a decent favorite against Gian Villante, but many didn’t expect him to be the first man to submit Villante in over a decade. Greene by submission paid +1000.
5) Mike Perry by Decision (+610)
Mike Perry had a strange situation going on at UFC on ESPN 12, being cornered by his girlfriend against Mickey Gall, who wasn’t much of a striker. Many thought if Perry won, it would be by TKO, but Perry took the fight all three rounds, convincingly winning a decision. Perry by decision closed at +610.
A $100 parlay on these five props would have made you a millionaire with $77,459,480.
