Five Props is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here are five UFC 250 bets that cashed big based on the closing odds from across various sportsbooks.
1) Aljamain Sterling wins in Round One (+1025)
Aljamain Sterling quickly took his fight against Cory Sandhagen to the ground, then was able to snake an arm under Sandhagen’s chin to force a surprisingly quick technical submission finish in a battle of top bantamweight contenders. Sterling in round one was the clear prop of the night at +1025.
2) Cody Garbrandt wins in Round Two (+650)
Former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt was well on his way to beating Raphael Assuncao, but he put an exclamation point on his performance by knocking the Brazilian out cold with a punch at the bell at the end of second round. Garbrandt’s second round victory was good for +650.
3) Ian Heinisch by TKO (+584)
Known more as a grinder, Ian Heinisch landed a big right hand against Gerald Meerschaert and followed it up with a swarm of ground and pound to earn a quick first round finish against the veteran. Heinisch by TKO closed at a cool +584.
4) Alex Caceres by Decision (+420)
Most felt Chase Hooper’s ground attack would be too strong for Alex Caceres, but Caceres kept hte fight standing and exposed Hooper’s lack of developed striking skills en route to a one-sided decision victory. Caceres by decision paid +420.
5) Devin Clark by Decision (+400)
Devin Clark typically wins his fights by decision, but many didn’t think he defeat the dangerous and formerly undefeated Alonzo Menifield, who had never gone past the 22 second mark of the second round in his previous nine fights. Clark by decision closed at +400.
A $100 parlay on these five props would have made you a millionaire with $1,500,425.
