Known for his striking, few thought Marlon Moraes would sync in a guillotine choke to earn a submission victory over Raphael Assuncao. Submission backers of the bantamweight title contender were handsomely rewarded with a +1700 prop winner.
3) Rogerio Bontorin by Decision (+600)
In the night’s opening bout, Rogerio Bontorin executed well in scrambles and did enough in the striking to upset Magomed Bibulatov in a decision victory to provide prop bettors a +600 cash.
4) Jose Aldo by Knockout (+579)
Former featherweight kingpin Jose Aldo poured it on in the second round against fellow Brazilian Renato Moicano forcing the referee to step in as Moicano was not properly defending himself. Aldo by knockout paid a surprising +579 given his striking prowess.
5) Markus Perez by Submission (+400)
In the preliminary wcard headliner, Markus Perez landed spinning strikes on the feet which dazed his opponent. He then took the fight to the mat where he latched in a beautiful anaconda choke to give the submission victory. Submission bettors rejoiced with a +400 winner.
