Riyadh – A significant, high stakes heavyweight matchups culminates this Friday on DAZN as former unified champion Anthony Joshua meets Francis Ngannou in what will be Francis’ second pro boxing bout.
This is a pretty straight forward matchup for me and I will not bore you with who needs to do what in order to win this matchup. Joshua does not take heavy punches well so it is obvious he needs to avoid Ngannou’s big power shots at all costs – especially the right hand.
I think Ngannou needs to finish this fight as early as possible. I do not like his odds winning it down the stretch to a potential decision. Joshua does very well managing distance and keeping his opponents at bay while using a good jab to avoid any potential counters. I get the sense Joshua plays this fight super safe and does just enough to win rounds enroute to a decision.
