Glendale, Arizona – In what is being anticipated as a fight of the year candidate the minute they faced off after his win over Liam Wilson in February, Emanuel Navarrete and Oscar Valdez are set to compete for Navarrete’s WBO junior lightweight championship.
It should be a very wild fight with back-and-forth action for as long as it lasts. Navarrete can get very crazy in exchanges and Valdez packs power himself – fight changing power. I am taking a shot on Valdez landing a big punch off a counter or from pressuring Navarrete with volume and going in for the finish. Not much else to say and difficult to predict how this fight goes but Valdez is the more durable fighter with more power.
