Betting Selection: Justin Gaethje Money Line (+120)
A firefight headlining UFC 291 is a rematch from April of 2018 as Gaethje suffered a loss by finish to Poirier.
Poirier is probably the rightful slight favorite here, but it is still a tossup fight. Gaethje was much more of a wild fighter who did not care for defense at all those many years ago. He started tightening up defense and fight IQ in his desire to be a world champion once he started stacking wins against Barboza, Cerrone, and Ferguson. When he starts throwing caution into the wind and recklessly throwing with his opponent that’s when it is hard to be confident in him because you truly have no idea if he will win or lose.
I will take a chance on underdog money with Gaethje here in what is likely to be fight of the night (maybe fight of the year contender).
