Petr Yan vs Sean O’Malley
Prop: Petr Yan wins by decision (+110)
To keep it short and sweet this is Yan’s fight to lose. He holds all the competitive fighting advantages over O’Malley such as striking technique, distance, pace, and aggression. It is really, really hard for me to see even a slight path to victory that O’Malley can take here. He is not going to submit nor knock Yan out. Yan has solid takedown defense, submission defense, and incredible durability along with blocking and avoiding damage well. Is O’Malley going to win a decision here? No, because he would need to put on a striking clinic and throw more volume against Yan over the course of fifteen minutes. I see Yan walking O’Malley down and breaking him apart with damaging leg kicks and combinations to the head and body for a one sided decision win. I think a possible third round finish is not out of the question here but being three rounds and O’Malley having to circle and avoid damage Yan most likely will be content with a decision victory.
I would also be more than fine with simply playing the Petr Yan moneyline since I think it is a really good price.
