Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley have agreed to a rematch after Tommy Fury was forced to pull out due to a medical issue. It is tough to see this fight playing out any differently than it did the first time over summer.
Jake Paul is a “good enough” boxer to win rounds against Tyron Woodley who is a perfect style matchup for Paul. Woodley has power and great athleticism but his volume and amount of punches he throws is incredibly low where he essentially just costs himself rounds and fights. We have seen it so many times during his UFC run and we saw it in the first boxing fight against Paul.
Paul will most likely implement the same strategy where he is able to win rounds by doing just enough whereas Woodley will not do nearly enough to swing the judges’ scorecards in his favor. Is it possible Woodley takes advantage of this opportunity and is able to throw punches to win rounds? Yes, but he had that chance the first time around. I see Jake Paul winning another decision victory here and move on to better things in 2022. Overall it is a great stylistic fight where it goes to decision more often than not.
