Prop: Terence Crawford Wins By Decision (-120)
Unanimously considered one of, if not the best pound for pound boxer today, Terence Crawford has built up a solid resume with some of the most profound boxing skills in the sport today. It will take a very elite and special fighter to possibly give ‘Bud’ his first ever professional loss.
Shawn Porter, while being a top fighter with a motor as good as anyone, simply does not possess the capabilities to take the WBO Welterweight Championship from Crawford this Saturday. Porter benefits from fighting some of the best at welterweight including Errol Spence, Danny Garcia, Yordenis Ugas, and Keith Thurman. He brings the fight to whomever he is in the ring with by making it a dog fight and mixing in plenty of movement. His style he presents can turn just about any fight into an awkward one. Luckily for Crawford he is so comfortable in just about any scenario in boxing so I do not expect Porter to put Crawford into much, if any trouble. Porter’s movement and elusiveness may give fits to Crawford early on in trying to establish dominance and win rounds but, he should still be good enough to win the rounds and pick up a decision nod. Porter is a very durable and tough boxer so I have a hard time seeing Crawford getting a good enough opportunity to finish him. Expect a unanimous decision victory for ‘Bud’ Crawford in another successful title defense against a very game opponent in Shawn Porter.
