Usman vs Covington OVER 3 ½ Rounds (-145)
This fight should play out like the last where both men are trading strikes back and forth. Usman has improved his striking a good amount working under Trevor Wittman now and we have noticed that a lot with his jab. I don’t expect an early finish for either man as this isn’t how either of them fight. They both like to break down their opponents and make them wilt until they give up but since both Usman and Covington are very durable with great endurance I expect the over 3 ½ to hit in this fight. I lean Usman to get a decision victory but Covington is still incredibly game and his toughest test at 170. I feel safer taking the over instead of picking a side.
Namajunas vs Weili Goes To Decision (-115)
Weili was caught with a head kick she never saw coming in their first meeting. It was a sneaky and smart set up by Rose. We should see a more back and forth kind of fight here as I do not think history repeats itself. Both women are tough, technical, and have good cardio to back it up. So, a slow burning fight that most likely goes the distance is my prediction. Another tough fight to gauge a lean on but if I had to choose it would be Rose – I believe she is the better technical striker and her jab is phenomenal that she works behind.
Marlon Vera Wins By Decision (+220)
I simply cannot trust Edgar at this point in his career. He is still a good fighter but he is no longer at the peak of his career. I lean Marlon Vera to pick him apart and get the better of the exchanges throughout the course of this fifteen minute affair. Vera does not possess one punch knockout power and even if hurts Edgar I think he can survive whatever comes his way as his recovery abilities are still in good condition. Vera picking up the decision victory over an aging Edgar seems to be the most likely outcome in my opinion.
Michael Chandler Wins By (T)KO In Round 1 (+900)
I am all about the value as long as there is somewhat of a path to victory for whatever I am betting. How many times have we seen Michael Chandler knock an opponent out in the first round of a fight? We have seen it a countless number of times – a total of eight times to be exact. While I am picking Gaethje in this fight I cannot help but throw a dart at the possibility of Chandler exploding with a huge right hand or countering Gaethje in the middle of a firefight. Gaethje has been hurt before and Chandler has the kind of speed and power to shut his lights out in round one. However, if he does not then expect Gaethje to continuously hunt and break him down with punishing leg kicks and body work until he lands a knockout shot to Chandler, who is very chinny himself and does not have the best defense.
