Robert Whittaker vs Israel Adesanya
A fight that is really tough to call happens Saturday night with the middleweight title on the line as Robert Whittaker looks to successfully defend his strap against what could be his toughest challenge to date – Israel Adesanya.
I’m thinking Adesanya gets it done here. Using his well-timed strikes and distance control to pick apart Whittaker from the outside. Whittaker should be able to get his own shots in but not without having to eat a few coming in to close the distance.
Adesanya’s best work comes from picking his opponents apart and mixing it up so they never see it coming. Both fights are very durable and smart so I’m expecting a technical, defensive fight most likely – with neither fighter taking too many risks. Especially Adesanya who has his biggest fight of his life Saturday evening.
While I think Whittaker is more than capable of winning due to his great striking skills and able to mix it up against the cage and with takedowns, I don’t think it’ll be enough with Adesanya dictating the distance and picking his shots against Whittaker.
While I’m definitely playing the prop, I’ll also be on Adesanya’s money line as well.
Prop: Adesanya wins Unanimous Decision (+465)
(Can also take Adesanya by just decision for +270)
Best of luck!
