Derek Brunson vs. Ian Heinisch
I think Derek Brunson is being overlooked here once again much like he did in his last fight. Granted, this is no Elias Theodrou but a better fighter he is facing this time around. Heinisch is a pretty good fighter coming off of DWTNCS in the summer of ’18. However, this will no doubt be his toughest fight. He can win sure, but I’m leaning Derek Brunson to have a good chance at using his athleticism and wrestling to nullify any offense Heinisch tries to use. Brunson’s chin issues will always be a concern in any fight but I’m hoping he can at least fight to his strengths this time to seal a decision victory.
Prop: Derek Brunson by Decision (+265)
Paulo Costa vs. Yoel Romero
One of the best fights on the card is a middleweight scrap between rising contender Paulo Costa and former title challenger Yoel Romero. Costa has handled all of his opponents with ease, finishing every single one of them and amassing a record of 12-0 thus far. His best win to date is an over the hill Uriah Hall though. So, competing against Yoel Romero is a huge step in competition. Romero, being one of the freakiest and gifted athletes in all of MMA has compiled a great record with wins over the likes of Luke Rockhold, Chris Weidman, Lyoto Machida, and many more. He hasn’t fought since his split decision back n’ forth fight with Robert Whittaker in June of last year but I’m banking on that he hasn’t just completely fallen off the cliff. I’m pretty confident in Romero here getting his hand raised and in my opinion by decision.
Prop: Yoel Romero wins by Decision (+525)
