Jon Jones vs Thiago Santos
We’re going to try this again because last time I handed out a Jones TKO prop he ended up getting a decision over Anthony Smith… SMH.
We are all well aware the gap between Jon Jones’ skills and the rest of the light heavyweight division. Thiago Santos is a really great standup fighter – a scary one. He has dismantled many foes that have been matched up with him because the technique and power he has is just truly something to watch and appreciate. However, like most of the people going up against Jon Jones, Thiago Santos is just going to be in a world of hurt here.
I am not expecting Santos to last a full 25 minutes like Smith did. Smith is a very durable and tough fighter. Santos to no discredit is tough himself, but he does have chin issues and I don’t think he will be able to withstand the elbows and ground n’ pound that Jones delivers. I’m rolling with Jon Jones to take Santos down with ease and finish him with a hellacious rain of elbows from the top to retain his title once again. The value on his TKO prop is good enough to throw a unit or two on it in my opinion.
