UFC Fight Night 93: Arlovski vs Barnett Date: September 3, 2016 Arena: Barclaycard, Arena City: Hamburg, Germany The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heads to Hamburg, Germany for the first time in promotional history. The main card action is set to kick off at 3pm ET, with prelims preceding it at 11:45am ET. All of the action will be live on UFC Fight Pass. If interested in wagering on any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here are my plays: Welterweight bout: Nicolas Dalby (-130) vs Peter Sobotta (+110) Gabe’s Thoughts: I see this welterweight contest playing out on the feet, where I think Dalby will get the better of Sobotta over the course of three rounds, possibly catching him and putting him away with a T/KO along the way. I think Dalby is the fighter more likely to finish, as well as more likely to win the fight on the judges’ scorecards, despite Sobotta having a hometown advantage, being that he is one of two German fighters competing on this fight card. Dalby is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Zak Cummings and Sobotta is off a first round knockout loss to Kyle Noke, so both 170-pounders are in dire need of victory this Saturday night. The victor will gain some relevancy in the division, while it will be a long walk back to the drawing board for the man who comes up short. Gabe’s Call: Dalby by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Dalby (-130) 3.9u to win 3u Heavyweight bout: Christian Colombo (-110) vs Jarjis Danho (-110) Gabe’s Thoughts: In short, I think Danho should be a -160 betting favorite heading into this contest, so I’m going to take a stab on him at his current coin-flip price of -110. I don’t believe either heavyweight is exactly UFC-calibre but do think Danho is the better fighter of the two and should have the longer, albeit not by much, future in the promotion. Gabe’s Call: Danho by T/KO (punches, 3:41 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Danho (-110) 1.1u to win 1u
