UFC 201: Lawler vs Woodley Date: July 30, 2016 Arena: Philips Arena City: Atlanta, GA The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heads to Atlanta, GA for the third time in promotional histor with UFC 201: Lawler vs Woodley. The action packed 12 fight card is set to kick off on UFC Fight Pass at 6:30pm ET with preliminary action, which will continue on FOX Sprots 2 at 8pm ET. Main card action will be live on Pay Per View at 10pm ET. If interested in wagering on these plays, or any plays for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here are my prop plays: Robbie Lawler (-150) vs Tyron Woodley (+140) Fight Doesn’t Go to Decision (-225) 2.25u to win 1u I think this fight ends inside the distance more often than not. Either fighter could finish early, but if the fight reaches the championship rounds, I favor Lawler to be the one scoring the finish. Jake Ellenberger (+225) vs Matt Brown (-245) Ellenberger by Decision (+525) 1u to win 5.25u Contrary to popular opinion, I think Ellenberger stands a good chance of winning this bout and I don’t believe he needs a knockout to do it. I think he can best Brown over the course of three rounds for a unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards, and in my opinion that is the most likely outcome to this welterweight match-up, so I see a lot of value in the current +525 betting line for the Decision prop. Anthony Hamilton (-135) vs Damian Grabowski (+115) Fight Goes to Decision (+180) 1u to win 1.8u Hamilton by Decision (+300) 1u to win 3u Grabowski by Decision (+675) 1u to win 6.75u I think this heavyweight contest hits the judges’ scorecards more often than not, where I favor Hamilton to get his hand raised more often than not. That said, this is a close contest and I could see the Pole getting the better of Hamilton over the course of three rounds to edge the fight on the judges’ scorecards, as well. I think Hamilton is the better fighter and has faced better competition, not to mention the fact that he trains out of arguably the best training camp in all of mixed martial arts in Albuquerque, NM’s Jackson-Wink MMA. Michael Graves (-230) vs Bojan Velickovic (+210) Velickovic by T/KO (+868) 1u to win 8.68u Velickovic +3.5 (-145) 1.45u to win 1u I think Velickovic is a live dog in this spot and I could see him defeating Graves on the judges’ scorecards or stopping him with strikes. Though, should he come out on the losing end, I think more often than not, he will have done enough to secure one round on the judges’ scorecards in defeat, which would allow tickers for the +3.5 prop to cash.
