Bellator 158 took place earlier today July 16th (via tape delay on Spike TV) at the O2 Arena in London, England and was headlined by Douglas Lima battling Paul Daley in the main event. Favorites That Won In the main event, Douglas Lima made a case for a rematch for the welterweight title as he shut down British striker Paul Daley, winning a unanimous decision. In the co-main event Matt Mitrione earned his second straight victory in Bellator by stopping Oli Thompson via TKO in the second round. Mitrione came through as the -290 favorite while Thompson failed to come through as the +260 dog. Light heavyweight Francis Carmont earned a submission victory over Lukasz Klinger in the first round. The French/Canadian cashed as a sizable -525 favorite while Klinger fell short as the +450 underdog. The star of the card Michael “Venom” Page earned a highlight reel flying knee knockout over Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos in the second round. Page improves to 11-0 and cashes as the -900 favorite, while the Brazilian comes up short as the +700 underdog. In the opening round of the main card James Gallagher earned a unanimous decision over Mike Cutting. The scores were 30-27 on all the judges scorecards. Gallagher comes through as the -380 favorite while Cutting comes up short as the +340 underdog.
