WSOF 31: Ivanov vs Copeland Date: June 17, 2016 Arena: Foxwoods Resort Casino City: Mashantucket, CT World Series of Fighting returns tonight (June 17, 2016) with WSOF 31: Ivanov vs Copeland. The 12-fight card kicks off with a seven-fight preliminary card streaming live at MMAJunkie.com at 6pm ET, with card card action following it on the NBC Sports Network at 9pm ET. If interested in wagering on these plays, or any plays for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here are my prop plays: Blagoi Ivanov (-390) vs Josh Copeland (+348) Ivanov by Decision (+365) 1u to win 3.65u Ivanov is -390 to win straight-up on the money line and he is +365 to win by decision. That is a massive difference. I think the most likely outcome to this match-up is him grinding out a unanimous decision, so I see tremendous value in the offering price of +365 for said proposition play. I don’t really see Ivanov knocking Copeland out or submitting him, even though he has a very good submission game. Copeland has great conditioning for a heavyweight so I think he will avoid getting finished and make it to the judges’ scorecards. If Ivanov does not get caught by Copeland on the feet, I see him grinding this one out on the cards. In terms of value, I think this is the right play for this bout. Luis Palomino (+120) vs Sheymon Moraes (-130) Fight Goes to Decision (+145) 1u to win 1.3u Palomino is dropping down a weight class from lightweight to the featherweight division and Moraes is going up one weight class from the bantamweight division. They will meet in the middle and go to war. Both fighters are great finishers but I favor this particular pairing to be a battle that plays out for all 15-minutes more often than not. I do think it will be a back and forth affair with both now-featherweights having their moments, and Palomino’s size advantage could ultimately play the difference. As for a straight play, I would say this fight is a “dog or pass” situation but I personall don’t think there’s enough value on the underdog here to make him worthy of a squeeze on the trigger. I think the proposition play for this fight to hit the judges’ scorecards for a decision at +145 is the move to make here.
