The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was live from The Forum in Los Angeles with UFC 199: Rockhold vs Bisping with a stacked 13-fight card, eight of which ended by way of T/KO. After the event concluded, the UFC awarded $50,000 to two fighters for ‘Performance of the Night’ and two fighters for ‘Fight of the Night’. The lines to wager on these props were available at Several Bookmakerss. UFC 199’s Post-Fight Bonus-Award winners were… Michael Bisping earns Performance of the Night for his first round knockout of then-UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold to dethrone him and become the new UFC 185-pound title holder. Finally, the Brit got his shot at the gold and realized his dream. The impressive and surprising first round finish came in highlight reel fashion and certainly earned him the extra 50k. Dan Henderson earns Performance of the Night for his impressive come-from-behind knockout of former Bellator middleweight champion Hector Lombard. Hendo survived a very rough first round to come back and put the Cuban away in the second. He caught Lombard with a knee and followed up with an elbow that dropped him to the canvas. A couple more unnecessary elbows followed on an unconscious Lombard, a la Hendo vs Bisping at UFC 100, and the referee halted the contest. Noteworthy Performance(s): – Dustin Poirier defeated Bobby Green via first round knockout, keeping his word that he would put the Strikeforce veteran away. – Brian Ortega defeated Clay Guida via knockout in the third round of their bout, earning the biggest victory of his professional mixed martial arts career and remaining undefeated. – Jessica Andrade defeated Jessica Penne via second round TKO in her 115-pound debut. – Luis Henrique defeated Jonathan Wilson via come from behind TKO in the second round of action in an entertaining back and forth light heavyweight scrap. Marco Polo Reyes and Dong Hyun Kim earn Fight of the Night honors for their back and forth war to kick off the Fight Pass prelims at UFC 199 in Los Angeles. Both lightweights had their moments, hurting and nearly finishing each other, but it was Reyes who managed to land the fight-ending blow, which came in the third round of action. On a card filled with entertaining fights, this one took home the prize, despite being the very first fight on the card. Noteworthy fight(s): – Max Holloway defeated Ricarco Lamas via unanimous decision to make it nine wins in a row for himself inside the Octagon. It was a very entertaining scrap from start to finish, and despite failing to score a finish, Holloway did have Lamas hurt on a number of occasions. This was a highly entertaining fight and arguably the biggest victory of the Hawaiian’s professional mixed martial arts career. – The aforementioned Henderson vs Lombard. – Alex Caceres defeated Cole Miller via unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards on only eight days notice. It was an entertaining fight that resulted in arguably the best performance of Caceres’ career. – The aforementioned Henrique vs Wilson bout.
