MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Fight Night 88 lightweight Joshua Burkman as he prepares for his main card bout this Sunday night (May 29, 2016) against Paul Felder at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The recently divorced former Ultimate Fighter competitor expects his second fight at lightweight to go much smoother than his first:
“I got tired against KJ Noons and I think Paul and his coaches saw that. If his gameplan is to pressure me like he does and to move forward, that’s a bad gameplan. No one has been successful fighting me like that. If he does that, I will find angles and I will hit him in the mouth and will make it a short night for him. He likes to stay in one stance and come forward but my style has evolved. He thinks he’ll pressure me and break me but he’ll get more tired than I am. I’m very strong for this weight class and Paul will feel that in this fight. I promise you that’s what’s gonna happen.”
