Anderson Silva forced to withdraw from UFC 198 due to injury MMAFighting reported yesterday that Anderson Silva is out of Saturdays UFC 198 bout with Uriah Hall. The former middleweight champion had to undergo surgery to remove his gall bladder. Silva’s coach Luiz Carlos Dorea had this to say “He called me and said ‘I’m going to the hospital, but I’ll get better’, so we came to Curitiba. When we arrived in Curitiba, he said ‘Master, I came home but the pain is too much.’ I told him to eat something, but he said ‘I can’t, I’m eating and throwing up.’ He told me this afternoon that it was too painful and he had to go back to the hospital.” According to UFC PR man Dave Sholler, Hall will not be rebooked for the card

Kharitonov (23-5) was slated to make his debut for Bellator. This moves the Alexandre Almeida vs. Lance Palmer title fight to the co-main event. World Series of Fighting President Ray Sefo said the following in a press release “The magnitude of this event has increased dramatically with the addition of a second world title fight and rematch between Marlon Moraes, who has been unstoppable, in the cage, and one of the most formidable and talented contenders in the world in Josh Hill” Moraes (16-4-1) hasn’t lost a fight since 2011 and has remained undefeated under the WSOF banner going a perfect 9-0 with the promotion. Included in that hot streak is the Brazilians win over Hill, which he won by unanimous decision at WSOF 18. Hill (14-1) only loss is to to the aforementioned champion Moraes and has won four straight fights since then. Camus (15-7) got back in the winning column in his RFA debut back in March, earning a unanimous decision victory over Matt Brown at RFA 36. The win snapped his two-fight losing streak, as he lost back to back fights against Henry Cejudo and Kyoji Horiguchi before his UFC release. Sklavos (12-4) also came through in his promotional debut in RFA this past July, earning a unanimous decision nod over Nick Burgos at RFA 27. He’s 5-1 in his last six fights.
