Bellator 153 Date: April 22, 2016 Arena: Mohegan Sun Arena City: Uncasville, CT Bellator Fighting Championship returns to Connecticut tonight (April 22, 2016) with Bellator 153: Koreshkov vs Hendeson. Main card action will get going at 9pm ET on Spike TV, with preliminary action preceding it on the promotions website at 7pm ET. If interested in wagering on these plays, or any plays for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here are my prop plays: Andrey Koreshkov (+250) vs Benson Henderson (-300) Koreshkov +3.5 (+100) 2u to win 2u Koreshkov by Decision (+430) 1u to win 4.3u Koreshkov Inside the Disance (+538) 1u to win 5.38u I think Koreshkov’s advantages in size and stength are going to play a big factor in this match-up. I see him keeping this fight on the feet and outstriking Henderson, potentially finishing him with strikes. However, should he fail to secure the finish, I think he will do enough over the course of five rounds of action to pick up a unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards and successfully defend his welterweight crown. I am high on Koreshkov and think he is an elite welterweight, so I don’t see him getting completely outclassed by a natural lightweight, which is what Henderson is. I think Koreshkov hands Henderson a defeat in his promotional debut and sends him down to 155-pounds, where he will likely challenge Will Brooks for the Bellator lightweight title. Should “Bendo” manage to get his hand raised in this fight, I think it will come by very close decision, likely a split, which would allow for the +3.5 prop to cash. As for Koreshkov, I think it is 50/50 whether he finishes Henderson or takes the fight on the judges’ scorecards, and I see value in both props so I am firing at both. Brennan Ward (-500) vs Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos (+435) Ward Inside the Distance (-310) 3.1u to win 1u To put it simply, I think Ward is going to make quick work of “Cyborg” in this contest. I favor a T/KO finish, probably early. Even at -310, I think this one is worth a squeeze. Jeremie Holloway (-650) vs Michael Page (-1000) Page by Decision (+495) 1u to win 4.95u In short, I expect this to be another easy night of work for Page; one in which he is likely to earn another highlight-reel victory. However, I do think theres a fair chance he walks away with a decision victory in this fight, and at +495, I think that prop is worth a stab.
