Koscheck vs. Daley, Kimbo vs. Thompson II’ rematches headline Bellator 158 in London At a press conference Monday in London, England Bellator President Scott Coker announced a welterweight rematch between Paul Daley and Josh Koscheck will take place at Bellator 158. Koscheck (17-10) makes his long awaited Bellator debut after he was slated to take on Matt Secor at Bellator 148 but had to pull out due to injury. He was released from the UFC last year after losing five-straight fights. Daley (38-13-2) is coming off a knockout victory over Andy Uhrich in his last fight, which pushed his winning streak to five in a row. These two first fought at UFC 113 in May 2010 which saw the 38-year old NCAA Division I wrestler take home a unanimous decision victory. After the final bell, Daley landed a sucker-punch and was immediately released from the UFC following that incident. Also announced on the card, Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson (6-2) will rematch James Thompson (20-16) in a heavyweight affair. Also English fighters Michael Page (9-0) and Linton Vassell (16-5) are both slated to compete on the card too. Bellator 158: London takes place July 16 at The O2 in London. Anytime I interacted with Mike on social media he always came across as a really nice guy and always had a great passion for MMA. When Mike joined MMAOddsbreaker last year he was a guest on my podcast and after hearing the news yesterday I’m thankful I had the opportunity to speak with him. His fight breakdown articles and analysis will be greatly missed on the website and I’d like to personally send my condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.
