UFC featherweight Diego Brandao arrested after allegedly striking strip club employee with gun Sherdog.com broke the news Saturday night that UFC featherweight Diego Brandao was arrested on Friday after allegedly striking a strip-club employee in the face with a gun on Thursday. Brandao (20-11) had an altercation with a DJ at Albuquerque strip club “Knockouts” and was later denied reentry. The TUF 14 winner then pointed the gun at three men standing outside the club. Brandao then reportedly struck the employee with the butt of the gun, pointed the weapon at the group and returned to his vehicle. The Jackson/Winklejohn product was arrested Friday and charged with aggravated battery and three counts of aggravated assault. His put bail which was set at $15,000, and was released Saturday night. The UFC has issued the following statement “We are aware that UFC featherweight Diego Brandao was arrested Friday following an altercation at a business establishment in Albuquerque, N.M. We are in the process of gathering more information at this time.While we are concerned by the nature of the reported allegations, it is important to note that Brandao is entitled to due process in a court of law. We will have no further comment until more information can be gathered.” UFC makes debut in South Dakota with UFC Fight Night 91 July 13 UFC officials announced on Saturday that the Las Vegas based promotion is set to make its debut in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in July. UFC Fight Night 91 is slated to take place live from the Denny Sanford Premier Center on July 13. No matchups have been announced for the event. Bellator 152 results Patricky Freire def.
