The Premier Boxing Champions is on NBC TV this Saturday, April 16th with a full night of boxing airing live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Below are the lines out at the sport books as we enter fight week, and you can expect more lines to pop up at the books from the full 11-fight card. Welterweight: 12 rounds Chris Algieri +1200 Errol Spence Jr -1900 It is a testament to how highly some people regard Errol Spence Jr that he is this big a favorite. Spence Jr is packed with talent and at 19-0, he has remained perfect as a pro. He was a 2012 Olympian and that entire squad carries a negative aura that they are all trying to overcome. Spence Jr has done a good job, is likeable and does his talking in the ring. For Spence Jr, this is a step up fight as he has no one on his resume as experienced as Algieri, It was not long ago that Algieri was the guy looking to prove he was more than just a converted kickboxer, but fights against Amir Khan and Manny Pacquiao have left him well known. Along the way Algieri proved he could box as well, and he enters this fight by far the most tested opponent Spence Jr has faced. Spence Jr has 16 KO wins in 19 fights and he feels he can make his mark by becoming the first fighter to stop Algieri. Light Heavyweight: 10 rounds Radivoje Kalajdzic +550 Marcus Browne -800 This fight is for the vacant WBC United States title and pits two undefeated prospects in Browne (17-0) and Kaladjic (21-0). Browne has started to appear on people’s radars as he has been on Showtime before, most recently knocking out Francisco Sierra on the Jacobs-Quillin undercard back in December. Browne is the hometown fighter and the line may be skewed because of that, as the two men share similar resumes. Kalajdzic is 24 years old, Browne is 25 and the height and reach differences are negligible as well. Interestingly, the sport books seem to be avoiding the Cruiserweight world title fight between Krzysztof Glowacki and Steve Cunningham. Glowacki is undefeated at 25-0 and Cunningham is 28-7-1, but Cunningham will enjoy a considerable height advantage and he is a former Cruiserweight world champion who took several hard luck losses while trying his luck at Heavyweight. The undercard also features undefeated Super Bantamweight female Heather Hardy (15-0) as she takes on Anna Hultin (8-2) in an 8 round bout.)
