MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC on Fox 19 light heavyweight Rashad Evans as he prepares for his upcoming main event this Saturday night (April 16, 2016) against Glover Teixeira at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
The former UFC champion and Ultimate Fighter season two winner has been impressed by the recent performances of Teixeira and he’s ready for the best version of the Brazilian:
“Glover Teixeira has knockout power in both hands and in his last few fights he’s shown the ability to take guys down and not only take guys down but control them on the ground in areas where he wasn’t before. Before in the Jon Jones and Phil Davis fight, Glover was a bit one dimensional. He was trying to look for the home run shot and was kind of a pressure fighter but in the last two fights, he’s shown the ability to take the fight where he wants to and dominate where he wants to. Now, Glover looks a bit pissed off. He has something to prove and that’s something you have to be concerned about.”
