MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Legacy FC 53 welterweight Dhiego Lima as he prepares for his upcoming main event this Friday night (April 8, 2016) against Antonio Trocoli at Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia.
The former Ultimate Fighter runner up wasn’t in a good place mentally during his sting in the UFC, but he feels he’s in a great position this time around as he headlines against a top Brazilian prospect:
“I think this fight, I’m gonna grind it out. I want to fight. I’m loving it again. My past fight, I don’t even remember my last four fights. I didn’t have any fun. I didn’t enjoy fight week, didn’t enjoy anything. During fight time, I was nervous. This time, I’m having fun. I’m gonna have fun and that’s gonna be the difference. I didn’t do anything my past fights and I hope this guy isn’t judging me by my last fights. If he is, he’s gonna be in deep trouble. I’m gonna finish this guy. It’s either gonna be a submission or a TKO. When my head’s in the right place, you’ll see what type of fighter I am.”
