Marcos Galvao vs. Eduardo Dantas 135lb title rematch headlines Bellator 156 Bellator officials announced Tuesday that Marcos Galvao vs. Eduardo Dantas will headline Bellator 156 on June 17th, Galvao (17-6-1) hasn’t lost a fight since their first encounter at Bellator 89 in 2013. The 34-year old went on to win four straight fights including a win over Joe Warren to capture the Bellator bantamweight title at Bellator 135. Dantas (17-4) is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Mike Richamn at Bellator 137 last May. This will be the promotions third attempt at booking this rematch. Matchups scheduled for Bellator 144 and Bellator 150. Bellator 150 takes place June 17 at Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif. Brent Primus vs. Gleristone Santos added to Bellator 153 main card Per MMAFighting, undefeated Brent Primus is scheduled to face Gleristone Santos on Bellator 153’s main card. Primus (6-0) is coming off a split decision victory over Derek Anderson and has won four in a row under the Bellator banner. Santos (27-5) had his nine-fight winning streak snapped in his last fight losing to John Teixeira in his promotional debut. Bellator 153 takes place at the Mohegan Sun Arena and is headlined by former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson taking on welterweight champion Andrey Koreshkov. Kimbo Slice and Ken Shamrock test positive for steroids Per the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Ken Shamrock and Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson both tested positive for the same steroid after their fights at Bellator 149 this past month. Shamrock (28-17-2) suffered a first-round TKO loss in his headlining bout to Royce Gracie. Shamrock also tested positive for methadone, a synthetic opioid used to treat heroin addicts. Slice (6-2) earned a stoppage win over d Dhafir “Dada 5000” Harris via third-round TKO. Both fighters face up to a one-year suspension and $5,000 fine. UFC signs Frank Waisten, slated to take on Jonathan Wilson at UFC 199 According to a report from MMAFighting, undefeated light heavyweight Henrique Frank Waisten is slated to take on Jonathan Wilson at UFC 199. Waisten (10-0) has won all of his fights by knockout, including a second round KO over UFC veteran Ildemar Alcantarain his last fight.
