With UFC Fight Night 82 taking place last weekend, the MMAOddsBreaker rankings were bound to get shaken up. MMAOddsbreaker’s Brian Hemminger (@BrianHemminger) has taken over the reigns of the rankings, which are updated after nearly every UFC event. As always, we only show changes in the rankings with this update. To access the full MMAOddsBreaker rankings, click here. Disagree? Feel free to give us your take on our rankings either in the comment section here or on Twitter! Pound-for-Pound 1. Jon Jones 2. Demetrious Johnson 3. Dominick Cruz (+1) 4. Fabricio Werdum (+1) 5. Frankie Edgar (+1) 6. Rafael dos Anjos (+1) 7. Luke Rockhold (+1) 8. TJ Dillashaw (+1) 9. Robbie Lawler (+1) 10. Daniel Cormier (+1) 11. Conor McGregor (-8) 12. Chris Weidman (+1) 13. Jose Aldo (+1) 14. Joanna Jedrzedczyk (+1) 15. Cain Velasquez (NR) There was a huge shake-up in the pound-for-pound rankings with both #3 Conor McGregor and #12 Holly Holm losing. Holm drops out, while McGregor drops down eight spots, although he’ll stay ranked because he’s still the featherweight champion of the world. That being said, his dreams of becoming a two or three division champion are probably over, especially after losing to someone who wasn’t even a top-five ranked lightweight at the time. Light Heavyweight 1. Jon Jones 2. Daniel Cormier 3. Anthony Johnson 4. Alexander Gustafsson 5. Glover Teixeira 6. Ryan Bader 7. Phil Davis 8. Rashad Evans 9. Ovince St. Preux 10. Quinton Jackson 11. Shogun Rua 12. Liam McGeary 13. Muhammed Lawal 14. Ilir Latifi (NR) 15. Corey Anderson (-1) Ilir Latifi makes his light heavyweight rankings debut after a solid performance against Gian Villante, basically taking Villante’s place in the rankings. Corey Anderson drops a spot even in victory because I felt he actually should have lost his bout to Tom Lawlor. He was far less impressive than Latifi last night and didn’t deserve to move up in the rankings. Lightweight 1. Khabib Nurmagomedov 2. Rafael dos Anjos 3. Eddie Alvarez 4. Anthony Pettis 5. Tony Ferguson 6. Nate Diaz (+8) 7. Donald Cerrone 8. Will Brooks 9. Gilbert Melendez 10. Adriano Martins 11. Rashid Magomedov 12. Dustin Poirier 13. Justin Gaethje 14. Edson Barboza (NR) 15. Al Iaquinta Nate Diaz explodes up the rankings in the lightweight division after finishing Conor McGregor via second round rear naked choke last night in the main event of UFC 196. Diaz takes Benson Henderson’s spot in the lightweight rankings, who I removed from lightweight due to what seems to be a permanent shift up to the welterweight division. Edson Barboza debuts at lightweight due to I felt was an oversight for his initial exclusion from the top 15 rankings. Bantamweight 1. Dominick Cruz 2. TJ Dillashaw 3. Renan Barao 4. Aljamain Sterling 5. Marlon Moraes 6. Urijah Faber 7. Raphael Assuncao 8. Thomas Almeida 9. Michael McDonald 10. Bibiano Fernandes 11. Takeya Mizugaki 12. Jimmie Rivera 13. Marcos Galvao 14. Frankie Saenz 15. Darrion Caldwell (NR) Darrion Caldwell makes his debut in the bantamweight top 15 after a dominant performance against former Bellator two-divisional champion Joe Warren this past weekend at Bellator 151. Bellator seems to have found a diamond in the rough with Caldwell, who moved to 9-0 overall with the victory. He has the skills and frame to be a nightmare match-up for anyone and could very well be holding the Bellator crown by the end of the year. Women’s Bantamweight 1. Miesha Tate (+3) 2. Holly Holm (-1) 3. Ronda Rousey (-1) 4. Cat Zingano (-1) 5. Amanda Nunes 6. Julianna Pena 7. Valentina Shevchenko 8. Alexis Davis 9. Sarah Kaufman 10. Jessica Eye 11. Bethe Correia 12. Lauren Murphy 13. Marion Reneau 14. Tonya Evinger 15. Liz Carmouche With Miesha Tate’s come-from-behind fifth round technical submission victory over Holly Holm, she now takes the mantle as the top women’s bantamweight in the world. Holm was up three rounds to one on most everyone’s scorecards heading into the final round, so Tate absolutely needed a finish. It was an incredibly clutch performance from Tate, who will likely now defend her title against Ronda Rousey in a trilogy fight this fall.
