Promoter Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing are at the Genting Arena in Birmingham this Saturday night with a twelve fight boxing card featuring a handful of BBBofC regional titles. Two of the event’s fatured fights are already at the sport books, and you can check back later in the week to see of other lines have been added for the show. Niether of the two matches at the books have over/under lines yet. The main event sees British and Commonwealth Welterweight champion Sam Eggington (17-2) put both of his belts on the line against Bradley Skeete (22-1). The line is very close, as Skeete is just a +115 underdog to Eggington, who is returning at -135. Skeete has held several regional titles, most recently going 4-0 in 2015 while defending the WBO European title. The lone loss of his career came at the hansds of Frankie Gavin back in November of 2014 in a bout that had the Commonwealthe and British titles on the line. Egginton is on a nice run of his own, having won eight fights in a row since April of 2014. He won the Commonwealth and British titles while going 4-0 in 2015 and he successfully defended both belts in his last outing when he won a unanimous decision over Dale Evans. The co-featured popular Super Flyweight prospect Khalid Yafai going for the vacant WBA Inter-Continental title. Yafai is 17-0 and his amateur background gives him a sound base. Yafai’s bout with Dixon Flores of Nicaragua is not up at the sport books yet. Yafai’s brother Gamal is facing Bobby Jenkinson in a twelve round bout for the Commonwealth Super Bantamweight title held by Jenkinson. Gamal is 8-0 and also comes with a decorated amateur career under his belt. Yafai is a heavy favorite to take Jenkinson’s belt, paying at -1250. Jenkinson comes back at +800. Jenkinson is 9-1-1 and he captured the Commonwealth title in his last outing when he knocked out Lewis Pettit in the eleventh round, Jenkinson, who is nicknamed “The Dazzler” has won five fights in a row since going 0-1-1 in an attempt to fight at 115 lbs. WIth five knockouts between Yafai and Jenkinson, you can expect this one to go the 12 round distance.
