Rafael Natal Gegard Mousasi had a tremendous performance against Thales Leites, showcasing his spectacular striking ability and his ever-improving takedown defense to explode up the rankings. He’s joined by Michael Bisping, who scored the biggest victory of his career, earning a unanimous decision over former champion and pound for pound great Anderson Silva. Both Silva and Leites drop in the rankings after losing. I also bumped up Derek Brunson a spot for his impressive UFC Fight Night 83 win over Roan Carneiro. Bantamweight 1. Dominick Cruz 2. Liz Carmouche While I thought Marion Reneau should have been given the nod at UFC Fight Night 83 in her controversial loss to Ashlee Evans-Smith, she still drops a spot due to Lauren Murphy’s gutsy performance. Murphy could have potentially been down two rounds, but she dug deep, scored a takedown and battered Kelly Faszholz en route to a late third round stoppage to pick up her first UFC victory on her third attempt (and she very well could be 3-0 in the UFC if the judges had been more forgiving).
