Bellator 149 is just just over a week away (Friday, February 19, 2016) and it features an openweight trilogy bout between veteran MMA pioneers Ken Shamrock and Royce Gracie. Gracie won their initial meeting at UFC 1 in 1993, while the second bout was ruled a draw at UFC 5 after lasting the full 36 minute time limit with no finish. Shamrock most recently was knocked out by Kimbo Slice last year at Bellator 138 while Gracie has not competed since a 2007 victory over Kazushi Sakuraba in Brazil. Also featured on the card will be a pair of internet sensation street fighters as Kimbo Slice battles Dada 5000 as well as a light heavyweight rematch between former champion Emanuel Newton and ex-title challenger Linton Vassell. The event will take place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas and will be aired live on Spike TV.
