The Ultimate Fighting Championship has several more intriguing bouts booked for 2016 already, including a surprising upcoming main event for UFC Fight Night 82, which takes place next month (February 21, 2016) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The event will be headlined by a welterweight clash between recent lightweight title challenger Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and rising contender Tim “Dirty Bird” Means. Cerrone will be making his welterweight debut just over two months after losing his most recent title shot to UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael dos Anjos. Means, meanwhile, has gone 5-2 since moving up to 170 pounds, recently knocking out John Howard last month. Also on tap this year is a potential number one contender bout in the welterweight division at UFC 196 between former champion Johny Hendricks and surging star Stephen Thompson. The heavyweight division will also be represented later this month with a UFC on Fox 18 battle between Josh Barnett and Ben Rothwell. Last but not least, middleweights Gegard Mousasi and Thales Leites will throw down in late February in London. Oddsmaker Nick Kalikas opened the betting lines for all four fights today at Several Bookmakers.
