Titan FC 36 event on Dec. 18th cancelled Shocking news came out yesterday evening that Titan FC 36, headlined by Tim Elliott taking on Pedro Nobre for the flyweight title, had been cancelled. Titan FC first made the announcement on Twitter.

In a press release later that evening, it was explained that the reasoning behind the cancellation was due to the health of President & CEO Jeff Aronson. 
What wasn’t mentioned was whether the fighters slated to compete on that card will be compensated or when Titan FC’s next event will be held. In addition to the disappointing news, longtime matchmaker Scott Cutbirth has also decided to part ways with the promotion.

Titan FC 36 was slated to take place Dec. 18th at the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, MI and also broadcasted live on UFC Fight Pass. UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm wants Miesha Tate next Holly Holm’s manager Lenny Fresquez spoke with Lance Pugmire of the Los Angeles Times and mentioned that the Jackson/Winklejohn product is looking to fight Miesha Tate. Fresquez says Holm could be ready to fight as early as February while earlier this week Ronda Rousey told ESPN this week that she could be several months away from an octagon return. Holm isn’t against a match up with Rousey, but she also wants to stay active. “Holly’s not so much about the money as [much as thinking] she wants to fight,” Fresquez said. “We’d like to fight Miesha. We understand there are risks, but Holly’s a dominant champion, and she wants to fight the best. Right now, Miesha is the best. Jose Aldo rules out retirement after UFC 194 Well that was quick. Monday Jose Aldo’s team-mate Andy Sower suggested that the UFC featherweight champion could be calling it quits, regardless of the outcome after UFC 194. But Wednesday, Aldo told UFC.com “This won’t be my last fight, I think I still have other opponents to face.”Aldo has been vocal about his displeasure on fighter pay, but perhaps his competitive spirit will keep him in the octagon for the time being. King Mo set to fight Brett McDermott at RIZIN Fighting Federation 1 Bellator star Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal will be taking on BAMMA veteran Brett McDermott on Dec. 29th per the RIZIN press release. Lawal (16-4) was slated to fight another BAMMA fighter in heavyweight champion Mark Godbeer, but the Brit had to pull out due to injury. Since his controversial loss to Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at Bellator 120, Lawal has won four straight fights. He advanced to the semi-finals of the Bellator 205-pound light heavyweight tournament but couldn’t continue due to injury. Phil Davis ended up taking home the tournament crown. McDermott (5-2) is coming off a first round knockout over Pelu Adetola at BAMMA 23 and has won all of his fights by stoppage. This two day event (Dec. 29th and Dec. 31st) will take place at Saitama Super Arena in Japan. The winner of the two-day tournament will receive a $300,000 grand prize.
