The event will feature 11 bouts in entirety on UFC Fight Pass, starting with preliminary action at 5am ET and following with the main card at 8pm ET. Here are my prop plays: Benson Henderson (-260) vs Jorge Masvidal (+220) Fight Goes to Decision (-190) 1.9u to win 1u Simply put, I think this five round main event battle hits the judges’ scorecards for a decision more often than not. Doo Ho Choi (-240) vs Sam Sicilia (+200) Choi Inside the Distance (-140) 2.8u to win 2u Choi by Submission (+899) 1u to win 8.99u Choi in Round One (+200) 1u to win 2u I see this as being a coming out party for Choi. I think he hurts Sicilia in the first round and puts him away, likely with strike, but I would not be surpried to see him hurt him with strikes but wrap things up with a submission. At +899, I think the submission prop here holds a lot of value. I believe he will eventually hurt and drop Sicilia, at which point I think there’s nearly as good a chance that he takes his back and submits him as there is of him going for the straight T/KO. He’s no Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and prefers the knockout, but if the back/choke appears to be clearly there, it might be the easiest route to take. Also, even if he does decide to finish Sicilia with a TKO on the mat, there’s the possibility that Sicilia could survive, at which point Choi will transition to a choke or armbar. Dongi Yang (+115) vs Jake Collier (-135) Collier by Decision (+175) 1u to win 1.75u In short, I think this is the most likely outcome to this middleweight contest. Collier is the superior striker and wrestler and I expect him to outstrike the Korean over the course of 15 minutes to pick up a unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards. Mike de la Torre (+130) vs Yui Chul Nam (-120) Nam Inside the Distance (+297) 1u to win 2.97u I believe this is the most likely outcome to this scrap, as both featherweights will likely be looking to put each other away from the opening bell. Nam has the better chin and possesses the heavier hands, so I favor him to put de la Torre away, handing him his second consecutive defeat by T/KO inside the Octagon. There is the possibility that Nam could hurt and drop de la Torre and end up finishing him with a submission, most likely a rear naked choke, and for that reason I am opting to keep it safe by playing the Inside the Distance prop at +297, rather than the T/KO prop at the prettier price of +385. Fredy Serrano (-165) vs Yao Zhikui (+145) Serrano by Decision (+168) 1u to win 1.68u Serrano is the superior grappler of the two heading into this flyweight affair and I see him outwrestling Zhikui in this contest for three rounds of action en route to a unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards. He has an advantage on the feet, too, and could also win a decision on the cards if he keeps the fight standing. However, his advantage on the mat is massive and I believe that employing his wrestling would be the wise choice to make for his gameplan.
