UFC 192 Date: October 3, 2015 Arena: Toyota Center City: Houston, TX The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to Houston, TX for the fourth time in promotional history this Saturday night (October 3, 2015) with UFC 192: Cormier vs Gustafsson. The action-packed and stacked 13-fight card kicks off on UFC Fight Pass at 6pm ET, with televised prelims following on FOX Sports 1 at 8pm ET and main card action getting going on Pay Per View at 10pm. If interested in wagering on this parlay, or any bouts on this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here is my three-way parlay for UFC 192: Light Heavyweight title bout: Daniel Cormier (-340) vs Alexander Gustafsson (+280) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think the Champion’s wrestling and relentlesness is going to prove to be too much for the Swede. Sure, Gustafsson’s wrestling has improved drastically over the years, but I don’t think he is going to be able to constantly fend off the takedown attempts of an Olympic-caliber wrestler over the course of 25-minutes in this five round title fight. I think Cormier should be a -300 betting favorite heading into this Pay Per View main event, so considering his current asking price of -340, I can’t justify including him in a parlay. I don’t believe there is value to be had there, however I do see value in the Total of Over 3.5 rounds at -140, as I think this fight will reach the fifth and final stanza much more often than not. Gabe’s Call: Cormier by Unanimous Decision (49-46, 49-46, 49-46) Women’s Bantamweight bout: Jessica Eye (+205) vs Julianna Pena (-245) Gabe’s Thoughts: I considered making a wager on Eye at her current asking price of +205, as I think there is some value to be had. I lean towards Pena for my pick here, but I think Eye is a live dog. I ultimately decided to pass on making a play on her and instead taking the Total of Over 2.5 rounds at -240. It does not offer nearly as great a return, but offers greater value, in my opinion, as I think the line should be -550. Both of these ladies are finishers, however, stylistically, I really like the odds of this one playing out for all three rounds of action for a judges’ decision. Gabe’s Call: Pena by Split Decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28) Flyweight bout: Ali Bagautinov (+275) vs Joseph Benavidez (-335) Gabe’s Thoughts: In short, I think Bagautinov should be a +240 betting underdog heading into this 125-pound preliminary card headliner, so I could justify a value play on him at his current offering price of +275. However, much like with the Eye vs Pena bout, I see greater value in the higher juiced Total for the fight, which is -250 for an over of 2.5 rounds.. Gabe’s Call: Benavidez by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Cormier/Gustafsson Over 3.5 rounds (-140) with Eye/Pena Over 2.5 rounds (-240) and Bagautinov/Benavidez Over 2.5 rounds (-250) at +240 for 3u to win 7.2u
