UFC 191 Date: September 5, 2015 Arena: MGM Grand Garden Arena City: Las Vegas, NV The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is back in Las Vegas again for UFC 191: Johnson vs Dodson. The action-packed 11-fight card has a five fight Pay Per View main card that kicks off at 10pm ET, with preliminary action preciding it on FOX Sports 1 at 8pm and UFC Fight Pass at 7pm prior to that. Here are my prop plays for UFC 191: Andrei Arlovski (-150) vs Frank Mir (+140) Mir by Decision (+1200) 2u to win 24u Assuming Mir gets his hand raised in this co-main event match-up, contrary to popular opinion, I think it is 50/50 whether he wins by finish or on the judges’ scorecards. Needless to say, I see a whole lot of value in the Decision prop at it’s current 12-to-1 underdog price. This is certainly a gamble, but I believe the reward here is far greater than the risk, which is why I am going a full 2u on this. Anthony Johnson (-615) vs Jimi Manuwa (+510) Manuwa by Decision (+1415) 2u to win 28.3u Much like with Mir, I predict Manuwa to win this fight and think he has a good chance of picking up that win on the judges’ scorecards following three rounds of action. At his current underdog tag of +1415, I can’t help but bite and take the gamble at a full 2u, as I see the reward here being far greater than the risk. Corey Anderson (+125) vs Jan Blachowicz (-135) Anderson by Decision (+210) 2u to win 4.2u I think this is the most likely outcome to this light heavyweight contest. Anderson is undoubtedly the superior wrestling heading into this match-up and I see him using his wrestling advantage to grind Blachowicz out over three rounds of action for a unanimous decision win on the judges’ scorecards, ultimately returning to the win column after suffering his first professional mixed martial arts career defeat. Jessica Andrade (-200) vs Raquel Pennington (+185) Pennington by Decision (+280) 2u to win 5.6u Andrade got the better of Pennington in their first outing, but I like Pennington to get the job done this time around. The first fight was close but went the way of the Brazilian, and while this fight may end up being close too, I think Pennington will fully deserve the nod. I could see her finishing Andrade, but I think she wins on the judges’ scorecards more often than not.
