UFC Fight Night 74 Date: August 23, 2015 Arena: SaskTel Centre City: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heads to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada tonight (August 23, 2015) for the first time in promotional history for UFC Fight Night 74: Holloway vs Oliveira. The Canadian evening is action-packed with 12 scheduled bouts, including a six-fight main card that will be live on FOX Sports 1 at 9pm ET and a preliminary card to precede at 7pm on the same channel, with a pair of bouts coming prior to those on UFC Fight Pass at 6pm ET. If interested in wagering on these ‘FOTN’ props or any other plays for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. The ‘Fight of the Night’ plays that hold the most value are: Moroz/Letourneau +1100 || .5u to win 5.5u I think this women’s strawweight contest has a decent chance of being an entertaining scrap, so I think it’s worth a stab at the current offering price of +1100. Letourneau stepped in a pound over at the weigh-ins yesterday but made the 116-pound limit shortly thereafter within hour given for the fighter to shed the extra weight. After picking up a win in the bantamweight division, she dropped to strawweight, where she picked up another win and looks to go 3-0 inside the Octagon against the Ukrainian this evening. Moroz scored a major upset over Scottland’s Joanne Calderwood in her promotional debut, defeating her via armbar submission early in the very first round of action. This is a big fight for both ladies, as a victory would put them right in the UFC’s 115-pound title picture. I expect them to both leave it all inside the Octagon when they square off this evening. Should they take home the evening’s ‘Fight of the Night’ honors, it would mean the first time for both ladies. Perez/Stout +1000 || .5u to win 5u Perez made his promotional debut against Johnny Case on short notice and lost the bout via TKO in the third and final round of action. He looks to get back on track while simultaneously picking up his first win inside the Octagon when he takes on the veteran Stout, who is in desperate need of a win, following back to back TKO losses to Ross Pearson and KJ Noons, respectively. This is a big fight for both 155-pounders who are generally fun to watch, and I think the chances of them taking home a ‘Fight of the Night’ bonus are not bad. At the current betting tag of +1000, I think it’s worth a shot. Should they take home the evening’s honors, it would mean the first time for Perez, but it would be the seventh for the veteran Stout.
