Here’s my main card parlay for UFC Fight Night 71: Lightweight bout: Josh Thomson (+165) vs Tony Ferguson (-190) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think this is the fight in which “El Cucuy” finally breaks through, proving he is a legitimate contender at 155-pounds. It really is anybody’s guess how this fight will play out, so I don’t have much to say about it as far as a prediction goes. I don’t know how he will get it done, but I see Ferguson getting his hand raised at the end of this match-up. Gabe’s Call: Ferguson by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Bantamweight bout: Manny Gamburyan (-150) vs Scott Jorgensen (+130) Gabe’s Thoughts: At this point in their careers, I believe Gamburyan is the superior mixed martial artist, and I think he will be capable of getting the job done against Jorgensen, who is making his return to the bantamweight division after an unsuccesful run at 125-pounds. This is a fight I could see Gamburyan winning by T/KO, submission or decision, and one I could only see him losing by getting caught with a heavy-handed Jorgensen punch. At these odds, I think the value is with the Armenian.
