There were no new fight announcements on Thursday, so for today’s MMA Odds and Ends I’ll instead list five prop bets at UFC Fight Night 69 that you should consider betting. Joanna Jedrzejczyk wins via T/KO (-125) The main event features UFC women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk against Jessica Penne in what most folks are viewing as a squash match. I do think the fight is going to be a bit more competitive than the line indicates, but I still think the champion retains the title, and I think she does so via T/KO. The prop on Jedrzejczyk via T/KO is -125, so consider playing that this weekend since it’s the most-likely outcome for this contest. Dennis Siver wins by decision (+147) The co-main event sees Dennis Siver take on Tatsuya Kawajiri in a battle of featherweight veterans. I really like Siver in this fight, and I think he wins it by decision. The Siver by decision prop is +147, and since that’s the most-likely way he’s going to win this fight, I see some very good value on that prop for a play. Nick Hein wins by decision (+128) Germany’s Nick Hein returns to the Octagon when he takes on newcomer Lukasz Sajewski in what should be a fun fight between two guys looking for a win in the Octagon. Hein has been pretty impressive in the UFC, but Sajewski is a good prospect and I don’t think Hein is just going to roll him over. I expect a close fight here, one that goes the distance, and I think in Germany Hein will get the nod. At +128, the prop on Hein winning by decision has some value. Scott Askham wins inside distance (+169) A middleweight bout pits Scott Askham against Antonio dos Santos Jr. Askham didn’t look amazing in his UFC debut against Magnus Cedenblad, but Cedenblad is a very underrated fighter, and at one point in that fight Askham almost finished him. Dos Santos Jr. had some bad luck in his UFC debut, losing via injury TKO, but either way I don’t think he offers much. I believe Askham wins this fight, and I think he does so inside the distance, the prop of which is available at +169. Taylor Lalipus wins by decision (+445) One of the early prelims is a bantamweight contest featuring Yuta Sasaki against Taylor Lalipus. The odds are heavily favoring Sasaki to pick up the win, and I’m not sure if I agree with it. I know he has that nice win over Roland Delorme, but in his last fight against Leandro Issa he looked horrible. Lalipus only has one UFC fight and it was against a can, but he’s still a good prospect and is dropping down to 135lbs for this bout, which is interesting. I feel like Lalipus has a better chance to win this fight than the odds are indicating, and I think if he does so it will be by decision, and that prop is available at +445.
