Bellator 86 WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma Thursday, January 24, 2013 Light Heavyweight Fight: Muhammed Lawal (-1550) vs.Przemyslaw Mysiala (+850) Fight Breakdown: Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal makes his Bellator debut when he takes on Przemyslaw Mysiala in what should prove to be a huge mismatch. Lawal is going to be looking to make an impression in his first fight on Spike TV and against Mysiala, Bellator has given him an easy opponent. Lawal (8-1, 1 No Contest) is one of the top light heavyweights in the world. This is his first fight in over a year as he was suspended for using a banned substance prior to his last fight against Lorenz Larkin, a TKO win for Lawal that was overturned to a no contest. But make no mistake about it, he beat the stuffing out of Larkin and he’s likely to do the same against Mysiala. King Mo is an amazing wrestler and has upped his game by going to Las Vegas for this training camp and working with famed boxing coach Jeff Mayweather in preparation for this fight. He really is one of the best 205 pounders out there — we have him at No. 14 in the world on the MMAOddsbreaker.com rankings — and had he not been suspended and cut by Strikforce, it’s likely he would be in the UFC now. Mysiala (16-7) is a Polish fighter who’s based in England but he’s pretty much an unknown. He’s coming off a loss in in BAMMA so it’s pretty strange that Bellator would give him King Mo in his first fight. But the reason they’re doing so is to set up King Mo with a win. Sure, Mysiala has some power, as evidenced in in his six career knockouts — as well as submission prowess as he has nine subs to his credit — but he’s also been finished by T/KO six times in his career and going up against King Mo, who’s in his prime right now, expect that number to increase to seven. I give Mysila about a five percent chance of winning this fight, and King Mo really should roll here. Fight Prediction: King Mo is an absolute beast and Bellator is giving him a can in his debut fight. They are setting King Mo up to win here, and unlike Babalu last week, no upset is going to happen here because King Mo is going to take care of business and do it quickly. I’m predicting a first-round knockout for Lawal in this one. Adam’s Pick: Lawal via KO (click for latest MMA odds) Adam’s Recommended Play: King Mo is likely going to get a highlight-reel knockout here. He should be a safe add to pad your parlays, but if you think Mysiala has a puncher’s chance just stay away completely. Maybe take a look at the under prop as well.
