The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to Dallas, TX this Saturday (Mar. 14, 2015) with UFC 185, featuring an action-packed fight card that includes two championship bouts. The main card gets underway at 10pm ET on Pay Per View, with preliminary action getting going on FX at 8pm and UFC Fight Pass at 6:30pm before that. If interested in wagering on any of the contests on this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Heavyweight action will get the FX preliminary card going, as the Texan Jared “Big Show” Rosholt takes on former RFA heavyweight champion Josh “Cuddly Bear” Copeland. Both big men are coming off losses in their latest outings and are eager to return to their winning ways. Rosholt and Copeland have spent time training with each other, so it will be interesting to see how this one plays out when they square off this Saturday night. When it’s all said and done, one big man will be back in the win column, while the other will fall to a two-fight deficit and have his back put against the wall heading into his next fight. “Big Show” opened as a -230 betting favorite in this contest, with the return on “Cuddly Bear” being +170. Action has since come in on Rosholt, making current betting lines -300/+250. Next up on the UFC 185 preliminary card on FX will be a lightweight scrap between a pair of very talented and well-rounded mixed martial artists in Daron “The Detroit Superstar” Cruickshank and Beneil Dariush. Both of these 155-pounders will look to continue to impress inside the Octagon in an effort to move up the division’s ladder and knock on the door of the top 15. Cruickshank vs Dariush is a fight that could very well be a sleeper for the evenings ‘Fight of the Night’ bonus. These lightweights are both generally fun to watch, and they are expected to deliver when they enter the Octagon on Saturday night. Cruickshank opened as a -190 favorite at the sportsbooks in this match-up, with his opponent Dariush being a +150 betting underdog. There has since been heavy action both ways, and with a lot of recent action on the Iranian, betting lines are currently -140/+120. The next bout on the FX preliminary card for UFC 185 will see TUF: Nations winner Elias “The Spartan” Theodorou look to make it three in a row inside the Octagon against Texas native Roger “The Silverback” Narvaez. The Mexican-American fighter recently picked up his first UFC victory with a split decision over Luke Barnatt and will look for another upset in front of his home crowd. “The Spartan” is a well-rounded mixed martial artist who has shown great potential, now it is only a matter of whether he will live up to it. Heading into this match-up on enemy territory, he will need to make a statement with a dominant victory in order to take a step up the UFC’s 185-pound ladder and draw a noteworthy opponent for his next outing. Theodorou opened as a -315 betting favorite in this contest, with the return on the underdog Narvaez being +235. Some action has since come in on the Canadian, as current betting lines are -345/+285. Headlining the UFC 185 preliminary card on FX will be striking battle between England’s Ross “The Real Deal” Pearson and Canada’s Sam “Hands of Stone” Stout. Fireworks are certainly expected when these lightweights go to war on Saturday night. Both of these 155-pounders are coming off knockout defeats in their latest outings, and they will be looking to put that behind them the best way how: by returning to the win column with an impressive victory. Pearson and Stout are long-time veterans of the UFC’s lightweight division, and have been known as fighters who, win or lose, always leave it all inside the Octagon. The Brit opened as a -210 favorite at the sportsbooks over the Canadian, who in return was a +160 underdog. Heavy action has since come in on Pearson, driving betting lines to the current -380/+315.
