UFC Fight Night 60 took place at 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado, and overall it was a very solid card that featured a few exciting fights, although a few dud fights did bring the card’s overall rating down. Overall from a betting perspective, six betting favorites won while four underdogs won based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers. Here’s a quick recap for each fight. Underdogs That Won In the main event of the evening, Benson Henderson defeated Brandon Thatch via fourth-round submission (rear-naked choke). Thatch looked good early but Henderson started pouring it on the longer the fight went and eventually Thatch tired and Henderson found a way to submit him. Henderson cashed as a +155 underdog (bet $100 to win $155) while Thatch lost at -165 (bet $165 to win $100). In a middleweight bout, Daniel Kelly defeated Patrick Walsh via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28 x 2). This was an awful fight that took place primarily on the feet, with Kelly getting the better of the boxing and coming through with the decision win. Kelly won at +105 while Walsh lost at -115. In a lightweight bout, Efrain Escudero defeated Rodrigo De Lima via unanimous decision (30-27 x 3). Escudero rocked De Lima on the fight and controlled him on the ground to pick up a clear-cut victory. Escudero won at +155 while De Lima lost at -165. In a flyweight but, Zach Makovsky defeated Tim Elliott via unanimous decision (29-28 x 3). This was a great fight between two talented flyweights, but Makovsky’s wrestling proved to be too much for Elliott and he was able to control enough of the fight to win a decision. Makovsky lost at +110 while Elliott lost at -120. Favorites That Won In a featherweight bout, Max Holloway defeated Cole Miller via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27). Holloway outstruck Miller in every round to win a clear-cut decision on the judges scorecards. Holloway won at -450 and Miller lost at +400. In a welterweight bout, Neil Magny defeated Kiichi Kunimoto via second-round submission (rear-naked choke). Magny’s striking, grappling, and submissions were all awesome in the fight and he deserves a top-15 opponent in his next fight. Magny won at -815 while Kunimoto lost at +645. In a lightweight bout, Kevin Lee defeated Michel Prazeres via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 30-27). Lee won the striking exchanges and was the better grappler in the three rounds as he won a clear-cut decision. Lee cashed at -155 while Prazeres lost at +145. In a flyweight bout, Ray Borg defeated Chris Kaledes via third-round submission (kimura). Borg dominated Kalades on the ground for the entire fight before getting a stoppage very late in the third round. Borg won at -975 and Kelades lost at +775. In a featherweight bout, Chas Skelly defeated Jim Alers via second-round TKO (punches and knee). Skelly started unloading on Alers in the second and was able to hurt him bad near the end of the round, eventually finishing him with an illegal knee that the ref didn’t see. Skelly won at -230 while Alers lost at +210. In a catchweight (158lbs) bout, James Moontasri defeated Cody Pfister via second-round round submission (rear-naked choke). Moontasri brutally Pfister in the first round and in the second round got a takedown, took Pfister’s neck, and choked him out for the win. Moontasri won at -240 while Pfister lost at +220.
