Henderson vs Thatch is a fight that will likely prove to be exciting, regardless of the outcome. It is a main event that I consider “Must See TV” and one scrap I would advise not to blink during. But of course, if you’re a fight fan, that’s not anything you didn’t already know. The betting odds for this main event contest opened at a near coin-flip, with Henderson being -110 and Thatch -130. After some back and forth action, lines have gotten a bit tighter at -105/-115. The co-main event of the evening comes in the featherweight division and is a classic “striker vs grappler” match-up between emerging prospect Max Holloway and longtime Octagon veteran Cole Miller. The Hawaiian is on a four-fight winning streak with all four wins coming inside the distance, and he looks to extend that streak to five against the American Top Team product. Meanwhile, Miller rides a two-fight winning streak and owns five post-fight performance bonuses, making it no secret he is looking to collect another one against the Hawaiian. He will be looking to take this fight to the mat, where he believes he holds a massive advantage. Holloway opened as a -380 betting favorite in this featherweight bout, with Miller being a +260 underdog. The early action came in on Miller and took the Hawaiian down to -300, where many jumped on Holloway. It’s seems to have been all Holloway since, as he has slowly climbed back up, with current betting lines being -400/+325. The next bout on the UFC Fight Night 60 main card will be a welterweight battle featuring Colorado’s own Neil Magny, who looks to extend his Octagon winning streak to six against the Japanese veteran Kiichi Kunimoto. After stringing together three wins in a row, Kunimoto also looks to stay hot as he steps on enemy soil to square off against Magny. A win over Kunimoto will make Magny 7-0 in his last seven fights, but more importantly earn him a ranked opponent in his next outing. For the Japanese fighter, a victory would not likely get him a fight against a ranked opponent, but would likely earn him another step up in competition. Magny opened as the betting favorite in this contest at -305, with the return on Kunimoto being +225. However, the public has since come in heavily on Magny, driving betting odds to a current -650/+475. The preceding bout comes in the middleweight division and features a pair of TUF veterans who are 1-0 inside the Octagon and will be looking to keep their O’s intact. Australia’s Dan Kelly travels States-side to take on The Ohio State University’s Patrick Walsh in Walsh’s 185-pound debut, and this is one battle that is not expected to go the three round distance. The betting odds for this middleweight affair opened at a near-coin flip, with Kelly being a slight favorite at -125 and Walsh being -115. Action, however, has since come in on Walsh, making current betting lines +160/-185. Lightweights Kevin Lee and Michel Prazeres are also scheduled to square off on the FOX Sports 1 main card for UFC Fight Night 60 in Colorado, and both fighters will be looking to extend their UFC winning streaks to three in a row. Heading into this bout, they have one thing in common: a decision victory over Jesse Ronson on their current 2-0 run. A win will send the victor up the UFC’s 155-pound ladder, while sending the loser back to the drawing board. Lee and Prazeres are a couple of fighters who both show promise, and even though it will likely be lackluster, I think this is a fight to keep an eye on, as it will tell a lot about both 155-pounders. The public has apparently favored the underdog in this contest, bringing betting lines to the current -155/+135. Getting things going for the UFC Fight Night 60 main card in Colorado will be a flyweight match-up between a pair of talented grapplers in Ray Borg and Chris Kelades. Both 125-pounders aim to extend their Octagon winning streaks to 2-0 and make noise in the razor-thin division. An impressive victory here could catapult the victor right into the UFC flyweight title picture. Borg is the more likely fighter to get that jump, considering that from top to bottom, he is the biggest betting favorite on the entire fight card. That means his opponent Kelades again finds himself playing a role he is all too familiar with; that of the heavy underdog. Kelades opened as a +260 underdog at the sportsbooks, with Borg being favored to win at -380.
