The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to Sweden this Saturday night (Jan. 24, 2015) with UFC on FOX 14: Gustafsson vs Johnson. The event will feature an entirety of 12 fights, including a four-fight main card that will be live on FOX at 8pm ET. If interested in wagering on any of the bouts on this fight card, all lines will be made available to you at at Several Bookmakerss. Getting the action started for the main card will be a featherweight match-up that sees Sweden’s own Akira Corassani take on Washington’s Sam Sicilia in a battle that is not expected to go the three round distance. This is likely a “loser goes home” bout for both 145-pounders, so they are both in dire need of victory and expected to leave it all inside the Octagon come Saturday night. The betting odds for this fight opened fairly close, with Corassani being a slight favorite at -140 and the return on Sicilia being +100. I don’t believe there’s been any major action either way, but lines have gotten tighter at the current -125/+105. Next up is a light heavyweight contest between Top-10 fighters Ryan Bader and Phil Davis who look to climb up the ladder on their quest for UFC gold. They are both talented wrestlers with a developing striking game, so this is likely to turn into a chess-match. Davis opened as a -215 favorite over Bader, who was released as a +165 underdog. Action has since come in on Davis, driving current betting lines to -255/+215. In the co-main event of the evening, 44-year old veteran Dan Henderson takes on the Armenian Gegard Mousasi. This is another fight in which both fighters will be looking to leave it all inside the Octagon in an effort to get back in the win column. Henderson opened as the betting underdog for this one at +250, with Mousasi being favored to win at -350. Action has since come in on the Armenian, making current betting lines -525/+415. Headlining the main card will be a very exciting light heavyweight match-up that Is scheduled to go five rounds, and it is between Sweden’s own Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson and Blackzilian product Anthony “Rumble” Johnson. The winner of this bout is expected to earn a shot at Jon Jones and his 205-pound gold. Gustafsson opened as a -190 favorite at the sportsbooks, with the return on the underdog Johnson being +150. Action has since poured in on the Swede, bring betting lines to the current -280/+240.
